A week after his acquittal in the Trayvon Martin case, George Zimmerman has done something indisputably heroic -- he helped rescue a family of four from an overturned vehicle.
According to the Seminole County Sheriff's Department in Florida, Zimmerman was one of two men who helped Dana and Mark Gerstle and their two children get out of their Ford SUV. It happened on Thursday in Sanford, Florida, about a mile from the site of the Martin shooting. It was Zimmerman's first public sighting since his acquittal.
